Nera Networks Continues Positive Trend

Per Arne Henæs, acting CEO of Nera Networks, presents positive first quarter results for Nera Networks AS.
First quarter numbers for 2008 report a gross profit of NOK 73 million for Nera Networks. Order entry for Q1 2008 was NOK 448 million, an increase of 56 percent from the first quarter of 2007.
“With the numbers for first quarter 2008 we continue and consolidate a positive trend that really started in the last quarter of 2006,” says acting CEO Per Arne Henæs.
“We now have a product line out in the market that is very well received, and our new production facility in Slovakia is performing increasingly better,” Henæs continues.
Evolution Series
The Evolution production ramp-up continues, and further broadening of the Evolution product range remains an important growth driver for Nera Networks.
“Evolution Series LONG HAUL is now fully introduced into our Evolution product family,” says Eirik Nesse, VP Product Management.
The Evolution Series provide multiple solutions based on one hardware platform.
“The new Evolution Series LONG HAUL has a 25% reduction in power consumption compared to previous long haul products,” Nesse explains.
“This translates directly into lower operating costs for network operators.”
