Nera Networks Awarded NOK 150 Million Contract
Nera Networks AS has signed a turn key contract with a West African broadcasting company for the establishment of a broadcasting network. The contract value is NOK 150 million, and includes in addition to Evolution transmission equipment also TV/FM transmitters, studio equipment, towers and masts and services.
"This contract is important particularly out of two reasons. It confirms our position in West Africa and it shows that Nera Networks with its Evolution Series has a product range that is able to compete and take market shares in different segments of the radio market," says Eltek CEO, Jørgen Larsen.
Nera Networks has for more than a decade been present and has won contracts in the West African market. The companys competence and experience with building broadcasting networks was crucial when being awarded this significant contract.
Under the contract Nera Networks is going to build a nationwide broadcasting network based on IP technology. This confirms that the Evolution Series with its high flexibility also is well suited for the establishment of broadcasting networks. The main bulk of the contract will be booked and delivered during 2008.
